First Time Homebuyer Program launched in Pike County

We are excited to announce the launch of the Pike County First Time Homebuyer Program together with Pike County Human Services.

The objective of the Pike County First Time Homebuyer Program is to assist potential homebuyers who would otherwise be unable to access a pathway to affordable homeownership due to income barriers. The goal of the program is to increase the opportunities for sustainable homeownership for low- to modest-income homebuyers by overcoming the obstacles created by the total cost of purchasing. The program will create a meaningful incentive for the purchase of owner-occupied homes within Pike County.

This program operates on a first-come, first-served program basis, and is contingent on the availability of funds. NeighborWorks will provide education services, evaluation criteria, and determine the total funds needed for each eligible individual or household.

We would like to invite all interested parties to a virtual lunch and learn webinar on March 27, 2024 at 12 pm. Registration and information can be found https://www.pikepa.org/fthb.

This project was financed by a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, under the administration of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

Additional information on the First Time Home Buyer program can be found at www.pikepa.org/fthb or by contacting Robert Ruiz, Executive Director for Human Services at Pike County, at (570) 296-3434 or rruiz@pikepa.org.
