Our Beautiful Blocks program provides matching grants of up to $1,000 per property to groups of 5 or more residents in participating communities to help them make exterior improvements to their homes. Grants are awarded annually through a competitive application process.
Beautiful Blocks is now open for applications in our 2026 program cycle!
Interested residents in the cities of Scranton, Carbondale and Pittston can can submit a pre-application document for their group of neighbors by completing the following steps:
- Download and review our pre-application instructions. This document serves as the rules and guidelines for Beautiful Blocks applicants and participants.
Complete our pre-application forms. Please note that you'll need to complete an application with general questions about your group, and a brief form for each property in your group.
Pre-applications must be submitted by Monday, March 30 in order to be considered for funding.
