NeighborWorks, in collaboration with the Safe Routes Partnership, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the City of Scranton and Valley in Motion, will implement temporary safety improvements along Main Avenue. This will coincide with the Main Ave Trick or Treat event Tuesday, October 31 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and aims to demonstrate practical safety solutions.
Feedback from residents and locals during the event will be instrumental in advocating for long-term safety measures on Main Ave. Several activities and safety enhancements, such as improved crosswalks, will be showcased during the event. This initiative is a part of the NeighborWorks West Scranton Revitalization Plan.
