A huge shoutout to all 7 teams who participated this year in the first annual West Scranton Garbage Olympics as part of Scranton City Pride! We're so grateful to families, community groups, individuals, and local businesses for helping clean up West Side. Together, we made a difference with 38 volunteers, 91 volunteer hours, 70 bags of trash, and 1980 lbs of trash. Special thanks go to NEPA Junk Removal for picking up all the bags! We also had a recognition and awards ceremony at our office, with prizes awarded to the teams with the most trash collected, the strangest item found, and the most team spirit! Thank you to everyone for participating, and we're looking forward to seeing you in 2024!
