NeighborWorks NEPA Accepts Donation from Community Bank, N.A. for Homeownership Counseling

NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania has accepted a $750 donation from Community Bank, N.A. to make homebuyer education more accessible in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The donation will allow for prospective homeowners to complete online homebuyer education training through eHome America. The training is required for those seeking to participate in the City of Scranton Homebuyer Program, but is available to residents throughout the coverage area for NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania, including Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wayne, Pike, Monroe, and Susquehanna Counties. The course also counts as credit for many loan programs relating to home ownership.

“In partnership with Community Bank, N.A., NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania is helping community members access Homebuyer Education through this donation,” Pamela Anslinger, NWNEPA Financial and Homeownership Specialist, said of the donation. “Contact NWNEPA today to find out how to become educated on buying your forever home at no cost.”

Homeowners interested in participating in the online homebuyer education program must contact Kathi at (570) 558-2490, or ktavera@nwnepa.org, for enrollment information.
