NWNEPA Homebuyer Education Workshops – Scranton

Our Homebuyer Education Workshops are now hosted at our new home!

NeighborWorks NEPA is committed to homeownership and stability for our clients, and we are proud to announce that our workshops are now offered at our future home. This new location has a large education room to host the many education opportunities that we offer.

Anyone interested in buying a home or in the particulars of the home-buying process is invited to register.

Additional Information: 

These free workshops are designed for anyone interested in purchasing a home now or in the near future. Attendees can learn the pros and cons of owning, requirements, qualifications and options for lending, how credit impacts decision-making, and how the closing process works. Guest speakers include lenders, real-estate and insurance agents, inspectors, and attorneys.

The workshop is offered multiple times throughout the year and can be scheduled for evenings or weekends to fit your schedule. If the current classes offered do not meet your schedule, please contact Pam at panslinger@nwnepa.org We can build a class around specific needs if there are enough participants.

The course counts toward the Homebuyer Education Certification, a requirement for many lending products and the First Time Home Buyers Program grant. You must be present for the entire course to receive the certificate. You must also meet with one of our skilled housing coaches one on one to receive the certificate.
