Foreclosure Prevention

Foreclosure Prevention

As high unemployment rates and a flat housing market continue to place more and more homeowners in our region at risk, NWNEPA offers immediate assistance through a series of strategies.

Meeting the Foreclosure Crisis Head On.

We’ve developed a comprehensive response to the foreclosure crisis that includes community education, outreach to at-risk homeowners, foreclosure mitigation counseling services and strategic partnerships with local government to help divert judicial foreclosures.

NWNEPA’s Counseling Staff – Offering a Helping Hand.

NWNEPA’s experienced counseling staff has been trained in foreclosure mitigation counseling and works with each at-risk homeowner and their lender to find a workable alternative to foreclosure. This process includes: helping the client to understand and face their current hardship; coming up with a financial and communication strategy to take positive steps to correcting the delinquency; and finding the best possible solution to for the situation.  If you or someone you know is missing mortgage payments, NWNEPA can offer a helping hand.

Are you behind on your mortgage payment?  To request an appointment with an NWNEPA HomeOwnership Specialist email csaunders@nwnepa.org or call (570) 558-2490.

 Foreclosure Prevention Information Sessions

For over 4 years, NWNEPA has worked to educate those who are at-risk of losing their homes on the options and assistance available to them.  Through our Foreclosure Prevention Information Sessions, we meet with struggling homeowners to discuss their situations and to help spread the word about available assistance programs and loan modification strategies.

If you are interested in partnering with NWNEPA to host a  Foreclosure Prevention Information Session, please call our office at (570) 558-2490.
